New Trendz Media will introduce Campers to the world of sports journalism. Campers will obtain various skills such as writing, on-air presence, television sports anchoring, editing, interviewing techniques, talk show hosting, play-by-play, sports research, teleprompter use, and working as part of a team. New Trendz Media’s fun and educational programs will help students grow as people and act as steppingstones to a professional career in sports journalism. Classes taught by veteran radio and television producers. Campers will write and produce a recorded sports show, similar to shows on ESPN and FOX Sports, to share their talents with friends and family. 



Mr. Olson is a 30 year sports broadcaster, and former KNBR Sports Director. He has called over 1,200 games on Radio and/or TV. Pat is also known as "Voice of the Dons" at the University of San Francisco, and is a 20-year High School Broadcasting Educator. He specializes in other skills such as alumni relations, sports promotions, budgeting, team building and much more.


Gregory Bates is a current Ph.D. student that graduated from California State University Los Angeles with a degree in Television & Film & Media Studies and graduated with his Master’s in Business & Leadership. Mr. Bates specializes in scriptwriting for television and film. He is a 2x's Colsac award winning writer, winning for best screenplay. Currently, Mr. Bates oversees, coordinates, and runs the Film Factory for BFN Networks. The Film Factory is a youth program of young actors and actresses from 7- 24 that has produced various youth projects titled, Our Home, P.O.W, Darryl Jones & the School of Doom part 1 and 2. and The Burbank Film Festival Award-winning Film titled Cookies & Crime.
